About the Journal

In the year 1969, the first issue of the geographical research journal entitled “JOURNAL OF THE NORTH EAST INDIA GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY” was published under the editorship of Dr. D.K. Singh. From that year, the society has been regularly publishing the journal. The title of the journal was changed into “NORTH EASTERN GEOGRAPHER” from the year 1975. It has got a wide circulation not only in India, but also abroad. Some of the recent issues of the journal have been reviewed with high appreciation in the “Annals of NAGI”, a journal of the National Association of Geographers, India.
